Once upon a time there was a big paper factory Hartera in a port town called Rijeka. This factory fed many families and produced rolling paper for big game brands. Hundreds of people worked there and Rijeka was recognized by it all over the world. But after almost two centuries of great work, the production shot down and it turned into industrial ruins.

After years of decline, creatives of Rijeka took it into their own hands. It all started with the infamous Hartera festival and a small community of creative enthusiasts soon came, cleaned the ruins and started to organize parties, festivals, workshops etc. Some of the crews established regular trance & dub parties, first separately and then they started to work together. This move established Hartera as well known soundsystem venues in Croatia.

Party after party, Hartera hosted (and still hosts) events with soundsystems like Digitron, Warrior Charge, Djiman, Echotronix, Bass Matters, Boca, Vibrations Addict, Thunder of Jah Army, Black Lion Hi Vibes, Imperial Sound Army, Shimana, Zenicafaria, Munchies, Roadtripper, turning the ex-paper factory to sound system culture temple.

As part of the Hartera family, Dubar Sound spent a big part of his life on those sessions and even headlined the last pre-covid session, held there, at the terrace, just a few days before lockdown took place. Now it is the time for Dubar Sound to pay tribute to the town that was his home for 10 years with his latest finest production. Hartera is now available as digital & 7’’ vinyl release by Woodland Records.
